Council

Judy Henning

Ward I Council Person

Judy has extensive experience in City Government.  She served as Crete’s Mayor from 2002 – 2006, Council Person and was seated on several Boards.

Dave Bauer

Ward I Council Person

Dave Bauer has retained the seat of 1st Ward Council Person since 1998.

Council Person Bauer works for Bauer Insurance Agency, LLC, an independent insurance firm located in Crete. He is a graduate of Crete High School.

Jack Oelschlager

Jack Oelschlager was sworn in as Ward III Council Person in December of 2000.  Council Person Oelschlager serves on several committees and is the current Chairperson of the Personnel Committee.

Council Person Oelschlager works for Nestle/Purina located in Crete.

Travis Sears

Travis Sears was sworn in as Ward I Council Person on December 7, 2010.  Travis returns to the council after serving as a Council Person from 2003 to 2006.

Council Person Sears works for Union Bank & Trust in Lincoln and is a retired member of the Crete Volunteer Fire Department, serving as Rescue Captain.  He is a graduate of Crete High School and holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University.

Charles Vyhnalek

Ward III Council Person

Charles Vyhnalek was sworn in as Ward III Council Person on December 7, 2010 after running unopposed in the November election.  Council Person Vyhnalek has served as a representative for the 3rd Ward since 2000.

Council Person Vyhnalek is retired from the Nebraska Department of Roads.  He is an active member of the Crete Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.

Dale Strehle

Dale Strehle was appointed by Mayor Foster and sworn in as Ward II Council Person on December 7, 2010.  Council Person Strehle fills the vacancy in Ward II following the resignation of Margaret Kohl.

Council Person Strehle Works as the Surplus and Inventory Manager for Lincoln Public Schools.  He is a graduate of Crete High and attended Doane College.
